Leopold-von-Buch-Plakette
The Leopold von Buch Medal 2022 of the German Geological Society has been awarded to Brazilian regional geologist Dr. Carlos Schobbenhaus for his outstanding achievements in the geosciences. Carlos Schobbenhaus received his doctorate from the University of Freiburg in the early 1990s under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Reinhard Pflug and Prof. Dr. Andreas Hoppe.
